A Work In Progress…

July 1, 2021

Hi everyone, Laura here…  Lately the phrase “work in progress” comes to my mind all the time!!

Image of a fledgling about to fly away.
The signs are all around! Take this young fledgling…

There are many reasons for this:

  1. Tennis Elbow – I’m dealing with a very slow healing tennis elbow flare up.  This had taught me to be very patient and re-work my workout routine.  No golf, no paddle boarding is especially difficult this time of year. But I’m learning to adapt, spending more time walking and listening to some great podcasts!!
  2. House Repairs – We’ve been needing to pay attention to the exterior of our house for a very long time! We are finally getting around to it.  Currently, we have the garage door replaced. The remaining two phases will be replacing the front wood for our south facing house with a more permanent material (changing the color from browns to earthy grays) and painting the remaining 3 sides to match.  As you can see, we have a gray garage with a brown house.  Although, the paint is so faded and terrible that it doesn’t look as bad as we thought it would – LOL.  From this, we are learning patience and experiencing the excitement building as we can’t wait to see how this work in progress turns out!!
  3. Finally, My Clients – I can’t describe how much joy I get out of watching my clients as a work in progress.  I love the different paths everyone takes and the joy when something clicks and the work in progress finally starts paying off.  It’s like watching my garden grow, flower and then provide the “fruits of our labor”.

I know that life will continue to be a work in progress, I hope you all can find the silver linings and enjoy the journey.
