How Could They? Breyer’s Ice Cream…

Have you ever gone to the grocery store and picked up what you thought was an amazing deal only to find out the product was not what you expected? My husband when asked to go to the grocery store can’t help himself and will invariably come home with something not on the list… Last night he was terribly disappointed!
He was so proud!! “I found Breyer’s on sale!” However, when he sat down to eat his treat, he was appalled by the taste. What was wrong? It’s Breyer’s, that’s supposed to be all natural right? Something was wrong, so we looked at the packaging.
Luckily, not willing to pass up a good “deal”, he purchased two containers of ice cream – Coffee flavored and Vanilla.
- Ice Cream or Frozen Dairy Dessert?
If you look closely the Coffee package says at the bottom “Frozen Dairy Dessert” vs the Natural Vanilla which is labeled as “Ice Cream”. And yes, you have to look closely.
He was appalled! Look at the ingredient lists:
- From Breyer’s you expect it to be all natural, right?
So tricky! Yep, even when you think you know a brand check your labels out very closely folks… It really is surprising though! Have you ever had something similar happen?
